Salt is not good for buildings!

Salt is corroding aluminium frames and weakens iron bars in concrete.  Why not use a less aggressive ice melter?  In the long run it is cheaper to pay a bit more for a less aggressive ice melter but better protect the building.  I informed our property manager and the Board.

This is a great idea, it is also not good for those who have pets that they have to take for walks outside of the building, as salt can damage their paws.
